Ruto's Comment on Changes And Asking For G4S Protection Arouses different views online

Barely hours after stating that he had more important things to do than follow up on the withdrawal of GSU personnel from his security detail, deputy president Dr. William Ruto now claims the security of ordinary Kenyans is of prime importance and should be prioritized above his own.

Dr. William Ruto.

Funnily, since he took up office in 2013 the DP has not been concerned that the ordinary "mwananchi" may need VVIP protection of the caliber given by GSU until the detail was withdrawn from him on Thursday.

Seemingly unable to reverse the government decision Ruto looked Kenyans straight in the face and said: "I prioritize security for all Kenyans. If GSU is needed to ensure all Kenyans are protected, deploy them. If APs are needed elsewhere take them and give me G4S".

As he was showing bravado and hard-talk his confidant Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei is said to have written a letter to the Speaker of the Senate asking him to summon all heads of security departments for questioning.

Ruto was speaking at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Bahati, Nakuru County where he donated handsomely for a church project.

Meanwhile, ODM Party presidential hopeful, Raila Odinga had a field day with the endorsement of his bid from a section of the clergy in Mount Kenya. Raila attended a Sunday service at Bible Fellowship Church in Kigumo, Murang'a County where he was assured by presiding Bishop Peter Kamau that he was their candidate of choice.

Similarly in Western Kenya, another foray by CS Devolution Eugene Wamalwa called upon Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula to support the ODM scion or risk a hiatus in the political cold.
