Speaking in Homa Bay on Monday, Awiti stated that Raila has tried enough, and it was evident that everything is working for his favour and all will be witnessed in August next year.
"The son of the soil is close to being the next president of our country," posed Awiti.
He went on to call upon the residents to collect their IDs in respective offices across the county, and register as voters to give Raila more political muscle as he gears to face his competitors in race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The county boss argued that Raila will have more than 650,000 votes from the county.
"Homa Bay is targeting 650,000 votes, and giving Raila such votes and others from this region, he will be in a better position to defeat his rivals, and because he is a front runner, we should ensure that all of us get our voter cards ready," added Awiti.
