Uhuru's CS Tells President Ruto And DP Gachagua The Truth As He Hands Over Office

Former Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani has today October 27, denied claims by President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua that they have inherited a dilapidated economy.

According to the outgoing Cabinet Secretary, the country's gross domestic product went high, something he said they worked together with the Central Bank of Kenya to see there.

He said that in the last 11 and 12 years Kenya managed to register the highest economic growth, something that he valued at 7.5.

"Treasury worked very hard to ensure that there is liquidity in the economy by working on the dynamic of interest rates with the CBK governor.

"We managed to keep the economy afloat and grow it. For the first time in 11,12 years, we registered among the highest economic growth at 7.5 GDP," he remarked.

This statement by the outgoing Cabinet Secretary goes against a claim that has always been given by President William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua who have been insistent that thy inherited a economy on deathbed.

“We are inheriting a dilapidated country with Sh10 trillion debt. Let all those who were against join us in building the nation,” Gachagua stated before.
