Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja Breaks Silence On Shutting Down Noisy Churches

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has ruled out closing churches in the city and surrounding neighborhoods.

On Thursday, December 1, Sakaja stated that his government will initiate dialogue with religious leaders to address the issues raised by aggrieved parties.

The governor also stated that following the dialogue, the county will enforce rules and regulations to keep places of worship in check.

"I will not close the churches. We want them to spread the gospel on obeying rules and regulations.i will initiate talks with them because we must be reasonable and accommodate each other in the city," he stated

" I will not go back on the abolition of bars and restaurants from residences. We have closed that chapter.Let us move on. Those saying people will lose jobs are seeking sympathy. It is the right thing to do although is unpopular," he added.

What are some of your reactions according to Sakaja's directives. Kindly leave your comments on the comments section below.
