DP Ruto Buys A Goat For Ksh50,000 in Muranga County (Video)

The Campaigning period is well and truly on in the country. We have already seen a few politicians try and go out of their way to do things they would not dare attempt on a normal day. However, with the voters clearly in need of persuasive words and deeds, aspirants have been left with no choice.

Last week, Nairobi Gubernatorial aspirant Polycarp Igathe spend the better part of his days visiting the common mwananchi. First, he popped up at the now famous 'Mogoka base' where youths usually sit eating the famous Miraa plant. He has also been seen in a kibanda and a mama mboga stall. He was even trending no Twitter over the same.

We also have Westlands Mp hopeful Nelson Havi riding a bicycle to work and using the same means of transport to conduct his door to door campaigns. The renown Lawyer is seeking to be a legislator for the very first time.

Deputy President William Ruto who is gunning for the country's top seat seems to be taking his hustler narrative on the same direction. He is famous for the whellbarrow slogan that seems to resonate well with the common folk.

On Monday afternoon, William Ruto took his rallies to Muranga County. It was at one of this functions in Mathioya Constituency where he pledged to buy a single goat for 50,000 Kenyan Shillings. Normally, a single goat fetches from 8000-15000Ksh.

Here is the Video of the DP making his bid to the owner of the goat. To say the crowd was excited would be an understatement. Is this the new trend in politics?
