UPDATE:NPS Statement On Their Investigations Into The Death of IEBC Official and Fracas at Bomas

The National Police Service has come out to update Kenyans on their investigations concerning the recently completed general elections.

In the first scenario, investigative agencies are currently investigating the mysterious disappearance and murder of 53-year-old Daniel Musyoka who was IEBC returning officer for Embakasi East Constituency.

According to National Police Service, the deceased went missing on August 11, 2022 and his body found about 4 days later on August 15, 2022 in Loitoktok, Kajiado County.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations homicide detectives had been despatched to witness a postmortem today whereby samples were taken for further forensic analysis and investigations.

Secondly, the National Police Service are currently looking into the fracas that ensued at the IEBC National Tallying Center at the Bomas of Kenya. Police have taken investigations and they are currently having in their possession CCTV footage which were collected and forwarded for further forensic analysis to assist in their investigations.

Therefore, the National Police Service has appealed to the members of the public to volunteer necessary information that will assist in their investigations through their official social media platforms and toll free number shown on the screenshot above.
