Today, Rigathi Gachagua, the vice presidential candidate for the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, traveled to the Nakuru County district of Molo to rally support for Dr. William Ruto's candidacy.
The late president Daniel Arap Moi, who passed away two years ago in 2020, is said by Rigathi, a Mathira member of parliament, to be the biological father of Lee Kinyanjui, the current Nakuru county governor.
Rigathi was responding to Kinyanjui's words that he need to ask the people of Molo for forgiveness for the misery he caused them while he was a district officer by speaking to the throng in Molo.
Gachagua responded by saying, "Lee Kinyanjui you are obligated to come to Molo and apologize because your biological father who gave birth to you was the commander in chief of the armed forces and the president of Kenya when the people of Molo were suffering," in response.
