Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, a close ally of DP Ruto, has spoken out against the military being used to manage public sectors.
He believes there is a reason for this, and it is not a good one.He expressed his sympathy for the military on Twitter, saying that it is being used by some sectors of the government to undertake procurement for a project whose conceptual and design models are unknown.
According to Cheruiyot, the military is being used to complete the projects in order to avoid exposing the fraudulent transactions through a public audit process.
"I fear for our military men. They are bring dragged into a murky corner. Asked to run procurement for projects of shadowy conceptualisation. Reason? To beat the rigorous public audit process. Unfortunately, at the time of reckoning, the big boys won't be in power. Chungeni!, " posted on his tweeter handle.
