Junet Mohamed, a close ally of ODM party leader Raila Odinga and also the sitting Member of parliament for Suna East constituency has taken to parliament his grievances in regard to the Building Bridges Initiative.
According to him, he feels that the jubilee party is delaying the BBI process so that it goes to the referendum stage without being amended which he terms as betrayal by the jubilee government to the ODM allies and the handshake as a whole.
Speaking on Wednesday as quoted by the standard newspaper, Junet said that the mp's had taken a very dangerous move which may cripple the bbi if not rectified soon.According to Junet, some Jubilee mps are delaying the processing of the BBI using some useless techniques to ensure that there is no time to table ii in parliament and rectify some parts.
The ODM party allies wants the bill to tabled in parliament as soon as possible so that they get some time to debate and rectify some parts which they feel only cater for the Mt Kenya region. They feel left out in some areas like in the allocation of new constituencies which they feel only focuses in the central region.
