State House Hopeful David Mwaure Finally Surrenders, Backs Dp Ruto's Presidency

Presidential Candidate David Mwaure of the Agano Party has finally conceded defeat and says he'll work with the deputy president forthwith.

Mwaure, who has been trailing the list of the four Presidential candidates in the provisional results, announced the news on Sunday.

Mwaure's decision come at a time when anxiety engulfed Kenyans after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission bought time to declare the results of the presidential election.

At the time of Mwaure's acknowledgement, the deputy president was leading with 51.25 per cent followed by his closest rival Raila Odinga who has 48.09 per cent of the total 7,043,561 votes officially tallied using forms 34B. This is according to Nation's live updates.

IEBC has been burning the midnight oil in making sure that the presidential results are verified before the Chair announces either of the most anticipated president between Raila and Ruto.

It's also important to note that the Commission has up to Tuesday as required by law to announce the winner of the 9th August 2022 Presidential election.
