Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga responded conditionally to a question today when he was asked whether he would be running for the Presidency in the forthcoming 2022 general election at an interview.
Odinga has always remained non-committal on the issue sticking to his guns with the backing of not knowing what tomorrow brings in these changing times. While speaking today at a local media house, the former premier stated that he will only talk of the 2022 politics once the contentious Building Bridges Initiative sails through.
The official opposition leader also talked about a number of things, including the car grant to the MCA’s adding that he believes they will pass it on conviction but not as a bribe.
He also came clean on the issue of a section of Mt. Kenya leaders saying that he is unsaleable in the region and his recent inroads to the region. He said that he has not been campaigning for 2022 but running support for BBI and that he has a right to go anywhere, Central Kenyan being one of them.
This comes say after his home County Siaya became the first County assembly to pass the BBI bill, with full public participation carried out and unanimous backing.
