United Democratic Movement Party led by President William Samoei Ruto is the biggest political party as per the elective seats it scooped from the recently concluded August ninth general elections.
UDA is among the over ten political parties that are under the Kenya Kwanza Alliance which is now the rulling political formation in the country. Other notable political parties within the outfit are Amani National Congress led by Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya Party led by National Assembly Speaker, Moses Masika Wetangula alongside host of others including The Farmers Party led by Irungu Nyakera.
In was has emerged as a sudden alledged looming setback to Ruto's UDA party, there have emerged allegations over efforts to deregister it.
Now, Farmers Party, an affiliate of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance is accusing Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition party of plotting to deregister the United Democratic Alliance as a political party.
This latest development is likely to open a fresh political battle pitting Kenya Kwanza against Azimio as days will continue to unfold.
