Omingo Magara who was the UDA Treasurer before resigning and joining Azimio has been defeated. His hopes of clinching the Kisii Senatorial Seat have today failed to materialise following a loss to a vocal leader who hails from the same region of Kisii.
In the latest result, Richard Onyonka emerged victorious after security the top seat with the highest number of votes. He managed to get 173,000 while thr second rival Omingo Magara having secured a total of 121,000 votes. This coming as some bad news to the legislator who was hoping to create history by winning the seat.
Onyonka now will lead the county in the senate and has promised to ensure that more change is achieved in the county saying that time had come for Kisii to witness a new change. The team is hoping to transform the region especially now that the area governor is also from the ODM party
