Deputy President William Ruto is having a rally at Kabugu,Embu county. He is a man known to take a swipe at his political opponents especially the Former prime minister, Raila Odinga as "Mzee wa Vitendawili " (Man of a proverbs) or "Mganga" (Witch). However, Dp Ruto has left residents of Kibugu in Embu County laughing following a statement that he has given out concerning the former Prime Minister and ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
Before taking a swipe at his close competitor, Raila Odinga, he said that he has respect for him but he should respect the youths of this country by providing the youths with jobs and not to give them Handouts.
"Hawa vijana ni wa kupangwa na handouts kweli? Hawa vijana ni wa handouts? Mimi namwambia mzee wa kitendawili please tunakuheshimu kwa sababu ya umri, lakini hata wewe heshimu vijana wa Kenya. Hawa vijana wa Kenya sio wakupangwa na handouts, hawa vijana wa Kenaya wanataka ajiri, wanataka kujipanga na biashara na wanataka kujipanga na kazi. Ni kweli ama si kweli?," said DP Ruto.
The translation, " These youths are supposed to be bribed with handouts really? Are these youths meant for handouts? I am telling the old man of proverbs please we respect you because of your age,but also in return you must respect these youths of this country. These kenyans youths are not supposed to be cheated with bribes, these youths of Kenaya needs employment, they want to start and plan for their businesses and employment. Is it true or not." Dp Ruto said.
