A dramatic scene was witnessed at a burial in Nyasore village, Nyamira County after two Member of Parliament aspirants fought over a microphone on Tuesday evening.
While speaking to the press, Steve Mogaka, one of the leaders, said that Vincent Kemosi, the current MP of West Mugirango, snatched the microphone from him while addressing the mourners during the burial of Mzee Mogaka Rira.

The conflict was brought about since Steve is vying for the seat using an Azimio ticket while Kemosi is using the Ford-Kenya party ticket.

The mourners were forced to chase away the incumbent MP for disrupting the burial and promoting violence. Steve has now urged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to take thorough actions against Kemosi for promoting violence.
"I don’t know why Vincent Kemosi would make an attempt on my life, the decision of who is to be the MP for West Mugirago on the 9th of August rests on the people," Steve told the press.
Efforts by Citizen TV to reach Kemosi to get his side of the story were futile since he didn’t answer the calls made to him.
