Eunice Cherono a registered union nurse who supplied forty two million COVID-19 items to KEMSA told the Members of parliamentary public investment committee that only through prayers thats how she managed to won the tender. On March 2 Eunice Cherono a registered nurse told the MPs investigating the alleged Covid -19 KEMSA that she sort the tender out of her own volition and without any godfather. Cherono, who appeared before the Public Investment Committee (PIC) chaired by Mvita MP Abdulswamad Shariff told the committee that she actually went to KEMSA office where she was received by receptionist who later asked her what she wanted where she responded that she wanted to supply masks.
Cherono also added that prayers really works on her side and thats why she was lucky to get a deal worth of over forty million at KEMSA.According so members of the the Public Investment Committee (PIC) alleged that she was assisted by a stranger at the agency when she visited KEMSA to make supplies inquiries.This issues was raised after several scandals overwhelmed at KEMSA office regarding to many tenders illegalities at the center that are worths millions of deals.
