With less than a month until the general elections held on August 9th, the political fever in the nation is only growing as the election countdown gets closer. All of the political contenders are in a race against time to win votes in order to form the next government. The two popular presidential candidates :Azimio la Umoja leader and Kenya Kwanza leader, William Ruto are competing tightly. 
Top political figures in the area, Kiambu including Moses Kuria of Chama Cha Kazi, Jungle Wainana of the Independent Party, Kimani Wamatangi of the United Democratic Alliance, and William Kabogo of the Tujibebe Party have all expressed interest in running for governor of Kiambu.
DP Ruto, Raila Odinga, and George Wajackoya's followers were exhorted to vote for Kabogo during a rally in Kiambu by saying, when voting for Raila Odinga please remember to vote for me.
William Kabogo urged the Kiambu residents to for him even they will vote Raila Odinga, William Ruto, George Wajackoya or David Mwaure which have left KKA in dilemma.
