Ahmednasir Drops 'Bitter' Words On Makau Mutua After Threatening to Disrupt Elections Over Cherera

Professor Makau Mutua who was the spokesperson of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance in the past general election receives an evening bombshell after warning President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance party against the removal of the four Independent Electoral and Boundaries commissioners.

Perhaps, the case of the Commission Vice-Chairperson and the other three commissioners who disowned the Presidential results announced by Chairperson Wafula Chebukati has generated an uproar in the political landscape.

Four persons tabled petitions before the National Assembly seeking the removal of the commissioners. The petitions submit that the accused commissioners are not fit to hold public office.

However, Professor Makau Mutua on Saturday threatens that there would be no elections in 2027 if the four commissioners are removed.

"UDA needs to know that if through a kangaroo process in Parliament or without it dismisses and replaces the IEBC Four commissioners that the 2027 elections, and ANY by-elections, won’t take place. PERIOD," the Professor noted.

Consequently, Kenya Kwanza's Senior Council and City Lawyer Ahmednasir drops a block against Makau Mutua saying that he is a mere spokesperson of a failed team and his threats to disrupt the general election would not succeed.
