This follows after Ongili was massively bashed by Kenyans who recalled dark past of the lawmaker shooting the deceased's son to paralysis.
It began when the vocal MP posted a long message of commiseration to the family of the late in his official Facebook page on the evening of the aforementioned day. While referring to her as his 'mother', Ongili expressed sadness for untimely losing her. He cherished moments when she advised them on how to unwaveringly face life challenges. He quipped that his thoughts and prayers were with the family as it mourned over her loss.
However, his message elicited massive reactions from netizens who took to the comment section to lambast the legislator for doing the same.
Majority of them hit out at him for feigning commiseration yet, according to them, he was to blame partially for putting the family in distress after reportedly attempting to kill its son DJ Evolve aka Felix. The referred to him as a hypocrite who was shedding crocodile tears even after trying to terminate the life of the musician.
In their observation, Mary died due to depression caused by Ongili after he shoot and paralyzed Felix her son.
However, other Kenyans came to the rescue of the lawmaker by averring that he had erred like any other human being would do by injuring the musician.
Mary died at her home in Nairobi after she collapsed and died while doing her house chores as reported by her husband John Orinda.
This comes more than a year after Ongili shot DJ Evolve on the neck while at a club in Kilimani after an altercation occurred between them. The musician became paralyzed later on. Nevertheless, doctors who treated him have alleged that his paralysis would end when he fully heals in stint of 30 months.
