President Uhuru's Government Dealt Yet Another Blow As Court Makes The Following Ruling

On July 1,2021 the cabinet secretary for treasury appointed John Mwangemi as the acting managing Director of Kenya Ports Authority to replace the outgoing director manager Eng. Rashid Salim.

Immediately Mwangemi was appointed, the commission for Human Rights and Justice (CHRJ) filed a case in the labour and relation Court, claiming that a due process was not followed.

Today the court quashed the appointment of John Mwangemi to the position." An order is hereby issued quashing the decision of cabinet secretaries Ukuru Yattan ( Treasury) and James Macharia ( Transport) and KPA and executed by Dr Yattan on July 1,where by Mr Mwangemi was appointed the KPA acting MD without following the due process," justice Bryam Onyago ruled.

John Mwangemi previously served as Kenya ambassador to Djibouti. Before Djibouti,he had served as kenyan ambassador to Rwanda.

The ruling has sent the government to the drawing board and do what is required by the law.
