The Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Hon Musalia Mudavadi who has taken oath of office of the prime cabinet secretary has today hanged the party leader boots. The seasoned politician who successfully delivered the western Kenya votes alongside his FORD Kenya party leader counterpart Moses Wetangula has today left the leadership of the party to governor Issa Timamy.
Musalia will however remain a party member and will be available to give advisory opinion on weighty matters.

The transition of top leadership is coming at a time when the party has just come out of tough times, with Mudavadi seemingly losing grip of his Vihiga county backyard. In the past general elections, Mudavadi's ANC failed to clinch the Parliamentary seat for Sabatia constituency where he hails from.
The leadership of ANC is going to governor Issa Timamy at the expense of who many thought would the vocal former Kakamega county senator Cleophas Malala.
