Today was the day for the new governor for Nyamira county.
The county received the second governor since devolution started.
During the inauguration three weard things happened.
The MCAs stormed out of the venue in protest. They claimed that the program never recognized them.
At the same time they claimed the organizers failed to have a tent designated for them.
However, the county speaker was able to convince them and they came back to the venue.
The aspiring Mp Steve Mogaka firstly came with a convoy of bodaboda riders. They seemed to be highly drunk. They wanted to storm into the inauguration field but the olive officers were able to subdue them. They failed to enter to the field.
The second thing he did was bring goons with a banner bearing his name. The banner was written HON Steve Mogaka. The reality is he didn't have to bring such people in a swearing in ceremony.
Always trying to steal somebody's show may lead to hundred percent demeaning or lossing of votes.
The guys were harassed until they folded the banner and disappeared into the crowd
The goons were dressed with reflectors bearing Hon Steve Mogaka's name.
This brought a bad picture in the ceremony. Bearing in mind even Amos Nyaribo's banner wasn't in the field.
Many were shocked but had no option.
Politics of publicity is slowly ruining everything in the society.
