Could This Latest Reunion Be The Last Mega Political "Earthquake" Ahead Of August Ninth (Opinion)

The eagerly awaited August ninth Presidential Election is presumably a two-horse pitting Deputy President William Samoei Ruto against Orange Democratic Movement Party leader Raila Amolo Odinga.

DP Ruto is leading the UDA party under the giant Kenya Kwanza Alliance with Raila leading ODM party under the jumbo Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition party. These two are the most formidable and fiercest political formations as the country gradually strides towards August ninth.

In what came as a huge setback to Raila-led Azimio, Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka bolted out of the outfit and rekindled his quest to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta only to be halted at the eleventh hour by the Independent Electoral And Boundaries Commission on Friday 27th.

In the wake of this latest move by IEBC towards Kalonzo, there have been reports of behind the scene moves to re-win the heart of the Wiper Party boss and have him rejoin Azimio.

Despite being given a second chance by IEBC to resubmit the requisite documents,Kalonzo has alledgedly shelved his presidential ambitions and has resorted to rejoin Azimio.

This latest move by Kalonzo comes days after a report on a structured dialogue and talks on how the Wiper Party would adequately be incorporated within the Azimio government should they carry the day come August ninth.

This latest move has been confirmed and echoed by Makueni County Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior who has been regarded as one among the key hardliners within Wiper party quarters.
