Nyeri County Deputy Governor Caroline Karugu has shared the message that her late mother allegedly sent her to tell Deputy President William Ruto before she breathed her last.

Speaking during her mother's burial ceremony today, Karugu revealed that her mother told her to tell the DP to shelve his presidential ambitions for it's not yet his time. She went ahead and claimed that God told her mother that this time is designated for the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga.

The Deputy Governor has been a keen supporter of Azimio La Umoja despite her boss, Governor Mutahi Kahiga, drumming support for Ruto.
Nyeri County is not first of such case as it has been witnessed in other counties where Governors and the Deputies differ politically, each taking separate routes.
A recent incidence was reported Makueni County where the Deputy Governor joined Ruto's camp forcing Governor Kivutha Kibwana to publicly distance himself from her move.
