A senior political operative from the coast region is facing uncertain times after he was abandoned by his support system at the time he needs them most. Word has it that the politico who has been enjoying protection from a top government has been left on his own.
A serious case the politician has been facing for over the years has since been revived. Previously, a top government official would use his judicial connections to delay the case while his financier would hire the best lawyers for him.
Detectives are said to have gathered enough evidence with dozens of witnesses willing and ready to testify. A detective who spoke in confidence termed the case airtight.
In a sudden turn of events, the two have withdrawn their support from him and left him to sort his mess. Sources privy to this development indicate that if found guilty, he can be jailed for life. His attempts to reach the two for continued assistance have hit a dead end.
The case which is set to be mentioned in the coming few days has reportedly attracted a lot of political heat and no one currently wants to associate with this politician. His fate has been left in the hands of the judge.
