New Twist as Ruto is Now Accused of Creating another DCI Secret Unit after SSU Was Disbanded

New twist as President William Ruto who is the commander in chief of the armed forces and the head of state with sweeping powers on the security of the country has now been accused of creating another secret Directorate of Criminal Investigations Unit similar to the Special Service Unit which was earlier disbanded.

The allegations has been made by the Director East Africa, Human Rights Watch, Nmawaya Otsieno.

Otsieno alleges that despite the disbandment of the dreaded unit of the DCI which was implicated in extra judicial killings, he says that he is not sure if anything has changed.

He alleges that President William Ruto might have disbanded the Special Service Unit,SSU and created another one.

The Special Service Unit was disbanded by the order of President Ruto and the officers who were serving in the unit recalled at the DCI headquarters.

In a TV interview recently, President Ruto assured Kenyans that he will not allow extra judicial killings to take place under his watch.
