A governor from the Coast has been linked with a political plan to join Deputy President William Ruto's camp in the coming days according to the reports.
The Coastal region has been the stronghold for the former prime minister Raila Amollo Odinga. This means that when the governor linked up with the deputy president, Raila numbers will be reduced at the coast region.
Despite fighting off claims that he has links to the country's second in command for some time now, it has emerged that the coming days could prove to be decisive for him.
The governor is said to be quietly holding secret meetings with some of Ruto's strategists before he finally makes a switch. There are indications that the county boss will cross over before the end of November as the season of political alignments and realignments gathers pace ahead of 2022.
