Winnie Majani peeped into politics when she was still at the university level where she was appointed to deputise the ODM strategist Philip Etale and spearhead some key party functions at the ODM headquarter.
Majani ventured into nurturing young talents and empowering women through advisory procedures and formation of USAWA KWA WOTE foundation which bails at provision of equal opportunities to all people regardless of the gender, economic background or social adherence.
Winnie declared her interest in the Vihiga Women rep seat early 2019 where she has garnered a lot of trust and support from the Vihiga residents.
According to Winnie, the women rep seat will provide her a comfortable platform to champion the youths and women's agenda and consistently fight for their space in the political honchos.
"I have genuinely and consistently had the plight of women and youth at heart. And it is not going to stop when I get the platform. God's speed" Winnie wrote.
Winnie seeks to battle out Beatrice Adagala in the upcoming 2022 general election.
