The support President Uhuru Kenyatta has given Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua will come with its cost, lawyer Mugambi Nandi has noted.
He said the Azimio La Umoja-OneKenya Coalition candidates will lose some votes following Uhuru's endorsement as they are being perceived as his project.

However, Mugambi, who is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, noted Uhuru still enjoys huge support among the people on the ground who will follow him in backing the Raila-Martha ticket.
"Uhuru will definitely lose Raila and Martha some votes (esp among social media users) but the support he has gained for them among the real voters is significantly higher. Am I wrong?" the lawyer tweeted on Tuesday.
Mugambi made the remarks following claims by Uhuru's first cousin, Captain Kung'u Muigai, that Azimio will perform poorly in Mt Kenya despite President's endorsement.
Speaking to the Star, Muigai, the patron of Kikuyu Council of Elders (KCE), said Deputy President William Ruto was the man to beat in Mt Kenya, noting he become the darling of the Mountain for the support he gave Uhuru in 2013 and 2017 elections.

"Uhuru already assisted Ruto to penetrate the heart of the people of Mt. Kenya, in contrast to Raila, who is being given MPs who aren't sure of defending their seats.You can't compare Ruto with Raila on any level," Muigai said.
