Kapsoit Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Hon. Paul Chirchir alias 'Tarimbo' has directly attacked Devolution Cabinet Secretary Hon. Charles Keter for his recent meetings with the residents of Kericho County.
Keter yesterday invited over three thousand (3,000) residents drawn from several parts of Kericho County for lunch at his Simotwet, Chepsir home. Today, the former Energy Cabinet Secretary will be meeting a section of Members of County Assembly (MCA's) from the County.
This move has since been harshly met by the incumbent Kapsoit MCA who says that the agenda of the meeting is to betray the people of Kericho County. Paul Chirchir has further inflicted a blow to Keter's gubernatorial ambitions after linking him with the 2014 Governor Paul Chepkwony's purported impeachment.
"A cursory look into the past, each time Keter is meeting our leaders, it is all about betraying the community and sowing seeds of confusion for his selfish gains. In 2014, he mobilised and paid MCA's handsomely to impeach Governor Chepkwony but the Senate cleared our Governor", Hon. Paul Chirchir wrote.
Devolution CS Charles Keter will be looking to replace the outgoing Kericho County Governor Professor Paul Chepkwony when the polls open later in August this year.
