Provisional Presidential Results As At 11:30 PM Shows A Tight Race Between Ruto and Raila

Today, August 11, 2022, is the second day that Kenyans have exercised their right to democratic suffrage by choosing their favorite leaders. The process starts and ends on Tuesday the 9th and counting of votes has begun.

According to the Boundaries and Independent Electoral Commission, presidential votes are still being counted and tallied at counting centers before the final results are announced.

At 11.30pm, the preliminary presidential results update showed a tight contest between the two frontrunners, Raila Odinga and Dp William Ruto. However, Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga came out on top, followed by United Democratic Alliance boss Dp William Ruto. George Wajackoyah of the Roots Party took third place while David Waihiga of the Agano Party contested the election.

According to the results at 23:30, the total number of votes counted was votes. Ruto led with 6,217,167 votes followed by Raila with 6,781,456 votes. Wajackoyah got 08 votes while Waihiga got 22,993 votes.
