His Excellency the Head of State president William Ruto has on Monday morning met with his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta.
They met at the Third Inter Congolese consultations which are taking place in Nairobi county.

The two of them are meeting days after having not seen each other for long since former Head of State president Uhuru Kenyatta handed over power.
The former Head of State is the peace envoy for the Great Lakes Region and the Horn of Africa having been appointed by the Head of State president William Ruto.
Burundian President Evariste Nyayishimiye who is also the chairperson of the EAC summit arrived in the country Sunday evening and he will officiate the opening session.
“The observes will be the African Union, United Nations and invited members of the diplomatic corps in Kenya,” read a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
