The Take on Mt Kenya Region After BBI Was Dismissed, Are They Going to Speak in One Voice?

Usawa Kwa Wote Party leader and Murang'a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria spoke on the same when he launched a massive voters registration campaign in Mt.Kenya region as he condemned a section of the leaders from the region who entered into joint coalition on August 18,2021.

This happened later when Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru vividly stated that they have not decided as Mt.Kenya region as to whether to endorse a candidate or to support any other outside candidate since their votes are one and united, she explains.

The throwing of BBI has caused alot of political temperatures to rise in Mt.Kenya region with parties caucasing for mergers in anticipation of next year's General Election.

With the near -unanimous realisation that the region is out of contention for presidency, political camps are still largely diveded between support for Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga.

A look at the backyard shows several strategic political meeting have been taking place but little or no efforts is being made to urge the masses towards particular direction.
