As political temperatures continue to rise head of 2022 polls, leaders are trying very hard to do anything they can in order to get the votes from Kenyans. Many politicians vying for different positions in the country have started switching parties to look for the one with huge following to be in a better position of defending their seats.
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party had planned a party merger with the ruling party Jubilee to ensure they ascend to power in next year's elections.
However, things look like are not working out as speaker of the national assembly has revealed that the jubilee party that was to marge with ODM, is a dead party. The speaker claimed the jubilee party has no followers and even Members of parliament rather than the handpicked interim officials who are just making their own decisions not a party.
This is huge blow to Raila Odinga who was expecting to get support from the ruling party especially from Mount Kenya to campaign for in the rich votes region.
Muturi is also claiming that, the party has no structure apart from a few member of parliament who are just waiting for a suitable time to leave. He even added that, the planned delegates conference would have not materialized because the party is just a shell.
In this regard, Raila should just work with his ODM and forget about jubilee because it has nothing to offer to other strong parties.
