President William Ruto in reaction to the heroic reception accorded to him in Homabay town, Homabay county has taken to his Facebook page to sincerely thank the residents of the region for turning out in large numbers to receive him and accord him a warm reception.
Where he promised that despite them being supporters of his arch-rival, Raila Odinga in past polls, choosing to support Raila and not him. He will not discriminate against them rather he will fulfil his commitment to transform the nation.
"No region will be discriminated in the process of transforming this country. This is my commitment. Thank you the people of Homa Bay for the warm reception," read a Facebook statement by President William Ruto.
Note that Homabay county is perceived to be Raila's turf. Given the massive support, he enjoys from both leaders and locals allied to him.
As expected Ruto was to receive a cold reception. However, The President was warmly received by residents and his supporters from Homabay county. Who blocked his motorcade after the church event demanding him to address them.
In reaction, myriad kenyans online have joined the bandwagon of patriotic Kenyans hailing Ruto for his successful tour in the Nyanza region and his message of assurance via his social media handles -Facebook and Twitter.
