Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) apprehended a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party MCA aspirant in Nakuru City for allegedly stealing from Safaricom's M-PESA shop.

The anonymous MCA was seen burying his face in embarrassment after authorities detained him in front of the Members of the Fourth Estate in a viral video released on social media by the source, Nation Media Group.

As he sought to evade the zooming in cameras that were all over the crime scene, the male MCA aspirant sank his head into the hood he was wearing.

The aspirant's method of committing the alleged theft while targeting an M-PESA outlet is yet unknown.

The MCA contestant's detention on stealing charges comes just a month after another UDA MCA aspirant in the same Nakuru County was arrested after hurting a police officer during nomination.

Isaac Rotok, a candidate for Menengai West Ward MCA, was detained after being accused of assaulting and wounding a police officer.
