Today, the former prime minister has continued with his tour to the voter- rich region of Mount Kenya after a successful rally in Nyeri on Tuesday.
While in Gatundu, Kiambu, Raila Odinga at one point jumped to support President Uhuru's decision to fire Deputy President William Ruto just days after the pair won the 2017 general elections. President Uhuru Kenyatta was left to care for Kenyans alone, which was a very heavy task, says Raila, because Ruto was never in office but instead was out here campaigning.
As a result, the head of state replaced DP Ruto with Fred Matiang'i, the cabinet secretary for the interior. This became clear when Matiang'i was appointed Super CS, where he would oversee projects and carry out various tasks that had previously been assigned to Ruto.
