Details have emerged revealing that after the swearing in ceremony at Kasarani stadium former president Uhuru Kenyatta jetted out of the country silently for a holiday. He has spent a couple of days away and only flew back into the country last Friday. The country where he had gone for his holiday was however not revealed.
Uhuru had served the nation for 10 years and after handing over his power to William Ruto he needed a big rest from the many challenges he had faced. A couple of days away was a good medicine to ease the stress he had been subjected to during his rule. Uhuru is currently living in his home in Nairobi where he has kept a low profile.
ODM leader Raila Odinga also took a trip to Zanzibar after losing the case against the IEBC. He said that the trip was to help him heal from the shock he had suffered from losing the elections to William Ruto. Uhuru will not be engaging so much in state matters but his counterpart Raila Odinga has a job to do as he is the leader of the opposition.
