Bad News To Wiliam Kabogo As Latest Opinion Poll Places Him Third In The Kiambu Gubernatorial Race

Former Kiambu county governor Wiliam Kabogo may not find it easy to recapture the seat he lost to Ferninand Waititu in 2017. This is after the latest opinion poll done by a research firm Mizani foundation.

According to the polls conducted in the month of September 2021, current Kiambu governor James Nyoro is the most Preffered candidate in 2022 with 40.7%. Nyoro is closely being followed by Thika town constituency member of parliament Engineer Patrick Wainaina with 27.1%. Wiliam Kabogo comes third at 10.7%.

Gatundu South constituency member of parliament Moses Kuria came fourth at 8.8%, he was followed closely by senator Kimani Wamatangi at 6.1%, the second governor Ferninand Waititu came position six at 3.6%.

This comes even as Kabogo keeps activating his political career with the latest move being forming own party called Wakenya Tujibebebe Party, the founding Kiambu governor has been traversing the country to popularize his party as he opens offices.

Kabogo is yet to declare officially that he will be going for the Kiambu seat, however, the flamboyant politician is being perceived as one of the influential figures in the Mount Kenya region who will determine the future of its politics.
