Speaking during a one day tour to Samburu county, the head of state said that, ending Female Genital Mutilation is the key yo epmowering the girl child in Kenya to participate fully in national development.
"If we want to achieve our national goals we have to change and offer our girls opportunity in education to excell. If you look around the world women are holding high position and we don't want to be left behind because of progressive cultural activities," the head of state said.
The president also witnessed the signing of declaration by elders to end FGM and early marriages as he advises the Samburu community to give their boys and girls equal opportunity to attend school.
BBI was also not left behind as the president thanks Samburu Members of County Assembly for passing BBI bill saying that, BBI is the only thing that will unite all kenyans. BBI has been hitting the country hard and hard and now we are waiting for the parliament to ammend it.
