From MP To Governor, Simba Arati Announced Kisii Governor

Simba Arati of Orange Democratic Movement party has be announced as the elected governor of Kisii county.

Simba Arati garnered 270,928 votes to beat Ezekiel Machogu of United Democratic Alliance who managed 82,104 votes.Simba Arati will now succeed James Ongwae who has finished his two terms. facebook

Simba Arati was the member of parliament for Dagoretti north for two consecutive terms from 2013 to 2022 before shifting his focus to his rural county of Kisii.

Kisii county has remained loyal to the Orange Democratic party and former prime minister Raila Amollo Odinga.

Simba will now join the list of announced winners by the Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission.

IEBC has officially released results of most counties with all eyes now shifting to the national tally at the Bomas of Kenya where the presidential results will be released by the commission chairman Wafula Chebukati.

Kenyans have been urged to be patient and maintain peace.
