Alfred Mutua Speaks on His Presidential Bid, Warns Raila of Excitement After Mt Kenya Endorsed Him

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has reminded his supporters that he is still on the race to succeed Uhuru Kenyatta, despite maintaining a low key life for the past couple of weeks.

The second term governor revealed that he is putting his camp to order before hitting the ground to popularize his bid and woo voters to support him, adding that Kenyans are in dire need of change.

"I am contesting and will be on the ballot. I am about to start my nationwide tours. By January, the landscape will have changed because Kenyans want change," said Mutua as quoted by the Star.

Reacting on the recent political developments, the Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader stated that it was too early to declare who has won voters support and who has not, revealing that serious alignments will take place few months to the election day.

He further warned the ODM leader Raila Odinga against getting excited for the big crowds that crowned his tour from Nanyuki to Nairobi as well as the endorsement by a section of billionaires from Mount Kenya Region, arguing that before 2022 many players will join the political space, and a lot of things will change.
