The ex-governor expressed sympathy towards the people who are really struggling with life to make the ends meet. He claimed that his heart is bleeding for all who are having sleepless nights thinking over how they going to meet their basic needs.
"Wale wote hamujalala my heart bleeds for all of you because I know life is not to many of is facing various difficulties in life," read a section of his statement.
He further claimed that those mostly affected are the unemployed, although even a number of the few employed are swimming in debt crisis while others are being humiliated giving an example of himself.
The flamboyant politician however advised Kenyans on how to manage stress and depression. According to him, the secret to managing these two issues is to always find a reason to be happy amid the many reasons to cry.
"If life gives you a hundred reasons to breakdown and cry, show it that you have a thousand reasons to smile and laugh by just staying strong because God is always good," he advised.
He further gave hope to Kenyans adding that they should never lose faith in God despite their challenges and one day He will restore them.
Sonko recently claimed that he has come to find out that most Kenyans are fighting stress and depression and they therefore much more need support than mere politics.
