Deputy President William Ruto has launched an attack on Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi for selling Raila Odinga in Meru County.
Ruto was speaking during his rally in Meru County on Tuesday where he asked the people of Meru to support his presidential bid.
The irate DP launched mordant attacks on governors and government officials, supporting Raila accusing them of forcing the ODM leader on the electorate.
He sent a message to Kiraitu, warning him not to take people for fools.
“Please tell my friend Kiraitu that we have brains and he should not engage us with nonsense,” he said
The DP said he believed the people of Meru will support him come to the 2022 general election.
Other leaders who accompanied Ruto on his tour, including Rigathi Gachagua, Mithika Linturi, Moses Kirima Irungu Kangata and Kathuri Murungi joined Ruto in his attack on Raila Odinga and Kiraitu.
Ruto who is on a two-day tour of Meru County has visited the region to consolidate the region’s and Mt Kenya’s support for his 2022 presidential bid.
His visit to Meru County comes barely a month after Raila’s visit to the region. career in a bold new way
