An opinion poll has been conducted by Mizani Africa Limited to allegde the popularity of different candidates aspiring to be the next Governor for Taita Taveta County if election were to be held today.
The Taita Taveta County Gubernatorial race will be a contest between Granton Samboja who is vying under President Uhuru Kenyatta Jubilee Party, Former Governor John Mrutu who is vying under Deputy President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance Party.
Others are Andre Mwadime who is vying as an Independent Candidate, Dan Mwazo, Patience Nyange, George Mwandemo vying on Orange Democratic Movement Party and Faustina Mgendi vying on the The Service Party of Mwangi Kianjuri.
The opinion poll has showed that Uhuru's Jubilee Candidate Granton Samboja who is the incubent Governor is commanding the lead with a percentage popularity of 49.2 Percent and is Ahead of Deputy President William Ruto's Ally John Mrutu of UDA who has a percentage of 22.1 percent.
