According to the local residents, Buzeki should rejoin deputy president Dr William Ruto 's camp and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party if he wanted his chances of emerging victorious in the governorship elections bolstered.
This follows after the prominent businessman revealed his relationship with the incumbent governor Jackson Mandago on his official Facebook page on Thursday. Buzeki argued that he has been having friendly and close relationship with Mandago since 2017 when they engaged in tough gubernatorial contest.
The vocal politician averred that they were personal friends with Mandago even though they differ politically. He noted that they do not take politics too personal because happiness was more important in life than it.
He urged locals not to engage in serious altercations and differences which could lead to war simply because of their rivalling leaders. He opined that peace amongst Kenyans was important.
However, his sentiments seemed to have gotten the attention of Kenyans, particularly the residents of his county who flooded his page to offer unsolicited advice on how he could win his 2022 gubernatorial seat.
Majority of the locals instructed him to seek for his gubernatorial election on a UDA ticket and support Dr Ruto's 2022 ambitions if he wanted to bag the position.
Nevertheless, some of the locals, most of who are his supporters vowed to support in whatever party he chooses to join before next year.
Buzeki ran for Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat in 2017 on an independent ticket but lost to Mandago. The incumbent had also defeated him in party primaries.
Nonetheless, later on after 2017 elections, Buzeki joined former Bomet governor Isaac Rutto's Chama Cha Mashinani where he became Secretary General. He ditched the party after Rutto declared support for Dr Ruto's 2022 ambitions.
