Lonyangapuo Or Kachapin? Latest Opinion Poll Results Show Who West Pokot Residents Prefer

As we head towards August general elections, several research companies continue with conducting opinion polls in different parts of the country. Their aim is to inform Kenyans how several candidates are performing and what is in ground. For instance, this afternoon, Mizani Africa has released the results of West Pokot county.

According to them, the incumbent, John Lonyangapuo is commanding a lead with 52.6% followed by Simon Kachapin with 41.7% then Nicholas Owon with 3.2%. The two top aspirants, one from Azimio and another from Kenya Kwanza are set to have a tough battle between themselves.

Professor Lonyangapuo is seeking to defend his seat. Even though the opinion poll results do not necessarily reflect on what will happen on the actual election day, they help to give a clue to contestants on how they are performing, their strength and their weaknesses. They also inform all other Kenyans what is in ground.
