His Bottom-up economy has been met with censure from other political wings that dismiss the approach as empty and inappropriate.
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Just like Mwai Kibaki, appears to be taking an intellectual perspective in addressing the economic lapse in the country. On several occasions, he has promised to revive the economy so that it can mirror that of North Korea.
DP Ruto camp has been served a brutal blow after the chairman of Bodaboda riders ditched Ruto for Mr Odinga. Speaking in front of the ODM boss, he urged Raila to look into the issue of insurance and training that are being offered to Bodaboda riders.
He also called on the ODM boss to establish Saccos for Bodaboda riders that would enable them to get low-interest loans.
This is clearly a huge blow to DP Ruto since with his influence, the chairman can sway the Bodaboda rider's stance into supporting Raila.
