What Peter Munya Told the Crowd in Meru Raila's Rally Today

Agriculture CS Peter Munya was compelled to intervene when a raucous throng attempted to disrupt his address in Makutano, Meru County. Mr. Munya and Azimio One Kenya Alliance presidential running mate Martha Karua were conducting campaigning in the region to rally support for Azimio candidate Raila Odinga when this occurred.

The Azimio leaders were greeted warmly in the Makutano neighborhood, with screams of "Baba, Baba" from the audience filling the air as they expressed their love and support for the Azimio wing.

The Agriculture CS gave the first address in Makutano, introducing other leaders who had joined them to the region.

CS Munya had to interrupt his speech twice during the introduction to cope with an overburdened audience that continued yelling as he requested them to stay quiet so that everyone could hear what he was saying.

Munya told the crowd that the Azimio had decided that Martha Karua (the Running Mate) and him (who was promised the positions of Agriculture CS and Trade Chairperson by Azimio flag bearer Raila Odinga) would lead the Azimio team in drumming up support for the team in the Mt Kenya region.

He stated that being promised the job shows that Meru County will be properly represented in the Azimio One Kenya Coalition if they become the next administration. Following these words, he was heard requesting the audience to be silent.

Let's put an end to the arguing and come to an agreement), "Munya said the enraged throng.

As the noise persisted, Munya informed the gathering that Azimio is a well-organized Coalition and that such noise was needless.

Please, no more noise. Please keep quiet so that we may converse. I Azimio and I are tidy and disciplined), "he stated
