The deputy president William Ruto is one of the top presidential contenders for 2022 that are banking on Support from the vote rich mount Kenya region.
Following his perceived fallout with President Uhuru kenyatta, his Support from Uhuru's backyard hangs in a balance.
However, the DP has a group of leaders from the region that he can rely on to deliver goods in 2022.
These leaders include youthful first time MPs and some seasoned Senators who haven't bowed to the system and the deep state.
The leaders now have vowed to go ahead with plans of negotiating with deputy president William Ruto saying that the gorvenment hasn't been keen on developing the mountain region.

"we are ready to enter into an economic negotiations with the deputy president after which we will enter into a Political agreement." Said kimani Ichungwa.
He criticised their enemies of first focusing on Political negotiations ahead of economic. He however urged them to go ahead and make agreement with a politician of their choice including Raila Odinga.
The move by Ruto's allies from the region is a big boost to his 2022 bid at a time when he seems getting largely Issolated.
Of all the top contenders for presidency, it's only the DP who is isn't keen on entering into a coalition with any Political kingpin choosing to work with junior Politicians from various regions across the country.
In an interview recently, he dismissed talks of working with Raila saying that Raila is the only serious competitor he has in next year's elections.
